LensCrafters review in Herndon, Virginia: Insurance not covered

My daughter made an appoitment with Lenscrafter and was given an appointment time for 10/21/13 at 12pm. Once she got there they took her information and begin to start the eye exam before the reciptionist came in and told her that they did not accept her insurance. All her information should have been inputed and they should have told her before starting the exam that she was not covered by the insurance. They continued with the eye exam and charged her knowing that it was not covered by her insurance. I have used Lencrafter in past I felt that before they even started the exam they should have informed her that the insurance was not accpeted.

LensCrafters review in Mechanicsville, Virginia: Bad lenses

My experience with staff was good - they were helpful and nice. The frames are good - but of course not manufactured by lenscrafters. I have had nothing but trouble with the lenses, however. I need multi-focal lenses, and they insist their design is correct, but I can't see clearly, and I actually found myself turning my head slighly to the right in order to read out of the side of the lenses yesterday, which was actually much clearer. I feel I need to take the lenses to another optometrist to find out what's wrong with them. They also don't seem to have anti-glare, which I requested and paid for.

Agreed, either the lens is off axis (twisted in the frame) or the focal point is off (in which the lenses would have to be remade). AR is easy to spot, like alyssa said, if you see a greenish or blueish hue to the lens, it has AR, also looking straight at them, you should not see any reflections from any light source, the lenses should have the appearance of not even being there.

Sounds like the frames need to be adjusted so the progressive (I am assuming here) is positioned properly. Take them back (ask for an optician if you have to) and ask them to mark up the progressive and have them make sure everything i slined up properly with your pupils.

As for the anti-glare coating, if you look at the lenses and move them around a bit, do you see a greenish or purpleish color on the lenses? If not, you don't have the anti-glare coating. Again, take it back with your receipt and point it out to them.

Good luck!

Lenscrafters (Fredericksburg, VA) will tell you that single vision lenses that they don't have in stock will be delivered to them in "a couple of days". For single vision lenses for my 20 year old son, I actually believed them because it was such a simple, no...

Ugh I'm so annoyed y'all. I placed an order for some new Ray Bans and the guy asked if I wanted these special polarized Ray Ban lenses and I was like sure thing like why would I want anything less?

Anyways, so his computer said they would be ready in an hour but told me it would take a week or so. Well.. it's been a week and I still don't have my beautiful sunglasses. I go to the beach A LOT and it really sucks because I want to seeeee (my sunglasses are prescription).

Hopefully they call me soon!! Forever waiting, Jumanji.

LensCrafters review in Herndon, Virginia: "Holly" is not a real person/

I have read most of the complaints and I feel that Lens Crafters is unethical by responding to ALL complaints using the name "HOLLY". These responses should be by ACTUAL people NOT COMPANIES. Lens Crafters is an unethical poorly ran company. That cares about one thing and one thing only "Making Money" and they don't care about the customer satisfaction or if the customer is getting their money's worth from the product bought. The company pressures employees and that is the reason they don't do the right thing when products are bad. Lens Crafters is a company that gives free enterprise a BAD name.

I don't doubt Holly is a real person. When I worked for Lenscrafters I would read these and reply (not specifically at Lenscrafter's request).

I just thought some people had legit complaints and should be shown how to get results. (Other people had bogus complaints and I told them so...) I showed the site to the store managers and even to the RDO when she came in. I don't doubt word eventually got high enough up the ladder for them to do something about it.

Shortly before I left the theme they were teaching the employees was how to change people's negative perceptions of the store.

While I can't say I completely agreed with their policies while I worked there (One of the reasons I left), I am happy to see Holly on the ball here.

Hey Holly...The problems w/ LC customer service start up at the corporate level, not the store level. Good luck w/ your new position there, but I don't think you'll be there long.

Is there a reason why Holly and the like only respond to customers who purchase? I've noticed if someone doesn't spend any money for whatever reason...they get no response.

Lenscrafters polarization problem with Sunglasses

I purchased a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses in November of 2007 from the Lenscrafters in Bakersfield, California. In May 2008, I noticed that the lenses had cracks horizontally in the polarization tinting on both lenses. It cost me $130 to have new lenses installed. (Lenscrafters said the lenses were scratched). The cracks looked exactly like a bad window tinting job you see on the rear window of a car after a few years. I looked at the new lenses and noticed that in one month, the polarization tinting was appearing to stretch and distort in the corners of the lenses. On August 28, 2008, after only 3 months, the right lense had the same cracking in the tint that the previous pair had. Lenscrafters replaced both lenses without charge but I have a feeling that this will reoccur again.

According to the first face choose appropriate hat. Secondly according to their body to choose the hat.

Wear a hat and clothes, to try to foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses. The form and color, hat and garments, etc must be matched.

I agree with Optical Manager about the way the lenses are cut. If they are too big and you manage to squeeze them into the frame, stress fractures can happen.

It might also be the frame lens combo like someone else mentioned. High plus lenses need more curved frames, and high minus need flat frames to look their best.

Anonymous
#44842

there was a bad batch of lenses with defective laminates that came through. This was an error from the manufacturer of the lenses, but we get to take the blame!

YAY! If thisoccurs, lc will replace the lens at NC to you....

"Luxottica is the closest thing to a monopoly, I can come up with.

Are you pissed off at LensCrafters? Just go to Pearle Vision right? Nope. Same company. Surely, Target or Sears will get you clear of the bad taste LenCrafters has left you with. No again."

"Arnette, Killer Loop, Luxottica, Persol, Ray-Ban, Revo, Sferoflex, Vogue, Adrienne Vittadini, Anne Klein, Brooks Brothers, Bvlgari, Byblos, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, D&G, Donna Karan, DKNY, Genny, Miu Miu, Moschino, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, Sergio Tacchini, Versace, Versus"

If you want to avoid doing business with this company, you'll have to avoid all these brands.

It could also be a bad prescription and frame combo. I find this a lot in my store, where I customer with a high minus will want a very wrapped frame.

The problem is the way the are cutting the lenses. Theres to much stress. They are called stress fractures, caused by the lenses being cut to big.

@Optical Manager

Made from high-quality materials, Fake Gucci Belts represent luxury and style. Replica belts are sold at low prices by counterfeiters who take advantage of buyers.

Although people often buy knockoffs knowingly, it is important for others to know what to look for when purchasing an authentic Fake Belts For Men.

An Easy way to tell a Fake Oakleys is to hold it in your hands. The nose piece and rubber on the arms on real Oakley frames have a more soft- rubber -like feel and the Fake Oakley Sunglasses, ones have a smooth feel to them.

Lenscrafters is horrible!

Our family has been buying eyewear from Lenscrafters for years but no more. Stores, especially the one in Voorhees Town Center (formerly Echelon Mall) Voorhees, NJ, have horrid customer service, staff is arrogant, incompetent and downright nasty. Most recent bad experience was having to wait weeks for our glasses to come in, and when they did, each time there were problems. Obviously no concern for the customer and the staff at this store, and their headquarters in Ohio, feel that they are doing the public a big favor by even dealing with us. The manager there is useless at best as well. By the way, the optician who has a presence in this store has the same rotten attitude. No more being ripped off by this company.

LensCrafters review in Virginia Beach, Virginia: Bad attitude

I was recently at the Lenscrafters location at Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake, VA shopping for a pair of glasses and was stunned at the attitude of the associates in the store. The majority of them were too busy gossiping and texting on their cell phones and seemed like the couldn't be bothered to help any customers. There was a couple who came in a few minutes after me, I was shocked to hear a male associate in a white coat mutter that these people didn't have any money and he didn't see why they were coming in. Regardless of whether these people have money or not, aren't you there to provide a medical service? As I walked out the store I glanced at the name tag of the muttering associate, he was the lab manager! He is obviously not a happy person and is setting a poor example for his associates. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on! I usually buy at least three pairs of glasses every year and spend well over 500 on each pair. Their loss.

Lenscrafters would not replace defected lenses on glasses.

May 30th 2009 I purchased two pairs of glasses, sun glasses and regular glasses that I wear everyday the cost was 443.52. I noticed what I thought was a scratch and then more and more were appearing so when I started looking at it closer I realized that they were actually splitting all the way across both lenses. So I went back to the store on August 28th 2010 and ask what they could do well the manager Kathy Bartlett said they were scratches but the assistant called them stress marks and said it was obvious they were defective. Even though they were defective they wanted me to pay another $186.00 to fix them. I have worn glasses all of my life and never have I had this happen! Kathy Bartlette was a very rude person considering that she works with the public! This is not good bussiness, when you sell a product you should be able to back it !!! I personally intend to tell everyone I know about your company and how they treat their customers once the money has exchanged hands!!! If I had broke these glasses I would pay for them gladly but when something is wrong its just not good bussiness to not make it right , My name is Debra Hamilton I live in Abbeville La. I went to Lenscrafters in Laffayette La. DONT GO THERE!!!!

Just to add insult after pricing a new pair of glasses at Lenscrafters at $670 for similar glasses I paid $340 a year and a half ago. Since the frames on my existing glasses are still good, I asked how much it would be to replace the lens on my existing glasses.

They told me it would be $580 dollars. Can you believe that! They indicated it is because they do not give discounts on just purchasing lens without the frame.

What I joke! Needless to say I will get my lens replaced elsewhere.
