LensCrafters review in District 5 Clarksville, Maryland: Lens coating coming off

1.8
Details
LensCrafters makes a low quality product. My Coating from lenses have come off repeatedly on multiple sets of lenses. It does not even last a year. When u ask them about poor quality they act like this is the first time they have heard this. They want to sell you $500 lenses every year. I have been their customer for the last 15 years. But not anymore. Their product is low quality and their customer service shows that they don't care.

After waiting for over an hour, the manager of the store decided to take care of a customer that was there only 5 minutes and argued with me that the person was there before me. Totally unprofessional and rude.

Have to go to Oakley or can buy a new pair. Oakley says sorry we do not have replacement parts. Will not deal with lenscrafters or oakley again.

Update by user Jul 24, 2018

Update*** It’s gets worse. So since I have to work and my wife works somewhat close to Lenscrafters she takes them up there for me.

The guy swaps out the lens.

She brings them home and wow they’re wrong yet a 3rd time. This is the same RX I have in my current glasses...

Lenscrafters is the worst. After spending $600.00 (second time in 6 months) they make you feel like you are putting them out by calling to check on your prescription. Even though the prescription is late. They basically say that they don't want you to call, and they...

LensCrafters review in Owings Mills, Maryland: Disappointed Customer

2.1
Details
The quality of the lens (especially the coating) and customer services has deminished significantly. My family and I have used Lens Crafter in Owings Mills for years. Not anymore. After recently needing an ear piece replaced (Less than $10.00) on my frames, I was advised they do not carry parts. However, they would be happy to file a claim with the frame manufacturer (Several days to even have an answer from the manufacturer) or I could use my insurance protection to replace the frames. This includes a copay of $35. Keep in mind we typically spend between $1500-$2000 a year at this store. The sad part part, I was dealing directly with the General Manager. From a customer’s perspective, very disappointing. From a business perspective, I would have a problem with an employee turning away a devoted customer over an ear piece part that cost less than $10.00. Keep in mind, this ear piece is slip on and they had the part on another frame. I guess Lens Crafter has enough business in Owings Mills. In addition, I would not like to have to explain that decision to my supervisor. Best regards, Former Lens Crafter Customer
