I have a very expensive pair of Ray band progressive lens bifocals that fell in the street and was damage by a car. I have a second pair of glasses, but they were no wear as nice as my Ray Bands. I rushed into the Lens Grafters in Colerain TWS, 45251. I was very upset...

I have purchased a pair of prescription glasses Oakley Evade- 13322-175 polish brown two years ago. The frame was $300+ and a lens was $200+. It been two years and my vision got worse so I came in to get an exam and update my lenses. I came in the store to have my...

Doing a quick search, the images for the Oakley Evade show a drill mount. There are a significant number of LenCrafters stores that do not have the in-house/store capability of manufacturing drill mounts.

There is a huge risk of damaging the frame when removing the temples and bridge and repairs on drill mounts are always of an iffy nature.

They could have tried to send the entire pair of glasses out to central lab, but there is always the chance that central would reject the frame and refuse to manufacture lenses for it. Additionally, if that specific model is no longer manufactured, it is doubtful that they would have the templates necessary for actually making the lenses for that specific frame..

I have gone to the same LensCrafters for the last 5 years due to the proximity to my work. I will not return. I have no complaints about the doctor except for wait time. The store is a complete other story. To keep this short, the store is understaffed and the...

Unfortunately, it is sometimes hard for the management to properly staff the place. They only have a certain amount of hours they are able to work with each week.

In the store I work in, there are times when we may have one or two people come in throughout four hours, but have four people on the floor. On other days, we will see twenty people come in throughout four hours, and only have two people on the floor. There are trends that they look at and try to schedule enough people for, and being in that store there are some days we expect to be busier than others, but they aren't always that way.

If the prescription was filled incorrectly, the lab person and whoever did the second inspection should have caught that.

There should be no excuse for that. The company requires second inspections for a reason.

Not at all pleased with the store in Eastgate Mall. My friend took me directly to the store after getting my new prescription from my eye doctor because my current glasses are broken and I really need my glasses for my day to day "survival". After being fitted and...

8) Sure is a lot of complaining over an hour of lost time and if she and her friend did get a *** to eat, they really didn't walk around the mall that much, if at all anyway. Not a good enough reason to blast the employee/company for such a small incident. Some people just like to complain......

LensCrafters Compliment

This is a Compliment not a complaint! I Received Excellent Customer Service at a LensCrafters location in Cincinnati, Ohio and Kenwood Mall. my glasses were ready before I even made it to my next store. My adjustment was perfect on the first try. I highly recommend this location. This is a Compliment not a complaint! This good service exception is only because they are headquartered in Ohio. Possibly you might have even received service from a real optician there. You are one of the lucky few...

LensCrafters review in Cincinnati, Ohio: Very poor customer service

I went to the the Florence store with my eye glass prescription, waited almost 2 1/2 hours, got the glasses and saw double out of them, the clerk takes them to the back and returns and informs me to go back to the doctor to have the prescription checked, this is the second time I have had trouble with these people, first time after 3 hours they said they ground them wrong.I waited 2 more hours to have them made right, this time I said I would like my money back, well the clerk did this all wrong to,I put some of my purchase on my flexible spending account and wrote a check for the difference, she puts all of the refund on the account, another 15 minutes to get that right. After going to the supervisor and I believe the manager to work the math in the computer she got it done. At no time was there Iam sorry we can make it right or nothing from any of them. I will have the prescription checked but I believe its right,I lost about 4 hours today but you can bet I will never darken there door again.

I went to Lenscrafter Valley River Center in Eugene, OR. Had my prescription done there. received my glasses after 2 wks, and since then, I m very very pissed off by my glasses! why? here are the reasons

1. My burberry glasses is very crooked! No matter what I do, it remained like that! the customer service told me that that;s how my glasses is formed and that they cannot do anything about it, they even tried to fix it but told me that that the only thing they can do!

2. Same reason when i complained about how my frame was made. the optic tech at walmart even told me that it was poorly fitted- it did not fit the frame properly, and again the customer service told me that its the frame and not them that has a problem...

I mean what was that? If they have a problem with this brand/ model, how come they are still selling them without telling me that there will be problem with it? It cost me $230 just of the frame, and so to my disappointment, I threw my glasses away!!!

Generally, our hands are tied. If the tech double-checked and then told you to see the doctor, that usually means they were made as the doctor ordered.

At that point, the optician has no legal ability to do squat 8except tell you to go see the doc again. It would be as if your family doctor gave you penicillin but your infection didn't clear, that isn't the pharmacy's fault.

As for the previous experience, I can completely understand your frustration. All I can say is, I work for a similar chain and my equipment is older than me. I can perform all aspects of the fabrication process with the precision of God Himself and sometimes it still comes out wrong.

It's probably not the lab guy's fault. Nothing I can do...the change has to come from upper management deciding that they can afford to do maintenance and replacement when appropriate rather than cutting hours endlessly and expecting the same amount of work.

I bought a pair of glasses at Lenscrafters about 2 years ago. They said I had to have bifocals so I chose the ones without lines. They only had about 3 pair of frames I could chose from that would actuallt fit the lenses. It wound up costing me over $400 with...

Every time I go to get eyeglasses, whether from my own optometrist or Lenscrafters, I end up paying a fortune because I have several eye conditions; glaucoma (sensitivity to light), nearsighted for driving, and far sighted for reading. I end up with the Transitions progressives and no fail, the lenses are scratched up within 2 months.

I take care of my lenses, don't use anything to clean them other than the specified soft lens cloth, and am very careful with them. Then why do they scratch so easily?

I'm tired of paying over 500 for every pair of glasses and not getting a lasting product. :sigh

LensCrafters review in Cincinnati, Ohio: Lensecrafters

$250.00 pair of prescription safety glasses purchased ten months ago at lensecrafters frames are good, lenses are good, the cheap plastic side shields they snapped on the arms broke and i'm told they can't replace them,i need to buy a whole new set of glasses.what a joke, i'll never send anyone there again. they were so helpful and friendly when i was there to spend my money but when i go back in because of some cheap inferior side shields they turn their backs.i would think that an eye care provider would want to protect their customers eyes

That is a bunch of bull ***. Lenscrafters has a supply of shields available at their stores or they can get it from another store and put it on for you. Dont let these lenscrafter stores tell you differently.

OSHA does control all things saftety related...

go read the laws and regulations that they have jam

Anonymous
#69725

OSHA won't let LC replace side shields if the are affixed to the frame. They consider this a broken frame so LC will have to replace the whole pair.

If the side shields slide on and off LC can give you a replacement pair of shields. This is a OSHA matter not LC's.

The optometrist at Lenscrafters, depending on the state, are either employed by Lenscrafters or may be subleased doctors where the doctor is basically rending space from Lenscrafters. However, there is no excuse for the doctor being that delayed unless there was some sort of an emergency, which is highly unlikely.

The glasses themselves may take an hour to make but that is providing that the lens is in stock and the machinery is working properly.

You can't honestly expect for Lenscrafters to have every possible prescription and lens material in stock do you? That is just ludicrous.
