Hi there, I am a VERY unhappy LensCrafters customer. I have been getting my glasses from LensCrafters for over 15 years and I have never had such a horrible experience as this. Specifically, I had my eyes examined on September 1st and ordered a pair of prescription...

I wish I'd read the poor reviews. Paid for my glasses and told they were in and to stop by anytime to pick them up. Went after work. Nobody took my name or attempted to wait on me. Instead desk person LAUGHED at me! Said "you're #3 in line after we're done with...

Science is that which is repeatable. Apparently not so at Lensecrafters. Two medical exams and three sets of lenses, throw in 6 round trips at 30 miles each equaling 180 combined miles. Eventually ended up with refund and prescription that fit from an independent for...

Lenscrafters - Eyeglasses Review from New York, New York
I purchased a 600.00 eye glasses from lense crafter in the mall on Staten Island New York I returned the glass 4 times with one lens kept falling out eventually it fell out again and lost it . I spoke to the general manager and said they could sell me one lens you will have to buy both also it would be cheaper to buy the frames to get a discount on the lens which would still cost me over 500.00 they were not interested in helping me at all other than charging me full price again for a pair of glasses poor customer satisfaction. I went to Costco and got a eye examine and new pair of glasses and frames and also had new lens in my frame that I recently purchased from lens craters all for 400.00 I would not reccomend lense crafters to anyone .

LensCrafters review in Ossining, New York: Terrible customer service
Ordered Tiffany Glasses My phone number on account was no longer as I moved. I made this very clear and watched as she entered my number, Waited over 2 weeks then called. Was told in fact they called my old number, apologized, etc. I understand mistakes happen, however another 4 weeks went by and still no call, even though I'm told I can expect a call back. I will no longer use Lens Crafter and every opportunity I have to change a person's mind I will. There was no communication and follow-up. To not receive any call back is very unprofessional.

Lenscrafters Manager
Lenscrafters could not make my precription!
We have been using Lenscrafters for 15 years and had no complaints until now. I went to get new glasses with transitional lenses. I was told after the exam by the lab manager that they could not make any kind of glasses for me because my prescription was too powerful! Mind you, Lenscrafters had no problem making glasses with my prescription in 2010. Now I was told that the computer would not allow them to manufacture my prescription because it was outside the allowed parameters. The staff to their credit tried everything to make it possible but were defeated by their own system. How is it a company can no longer make its own product because of computer programs?

Lenscrafters Manager
While attempting to purchase a new pair of glasses, a Lenscrafter worker took my glasses to see what type of lenses they were. She then returns with my glasses' frames broken in half. She apologized and said she would give me a temporary pair of glasses. I was pissed...

If they broke your glasses because they had to determine what type of lens you are in, then you are entitled to a new frame from their inventory. Did you talk to the general manager of the store?
If they refused, did you go to the district manager?
I'm familiar enough with LensCrafters to know that this was NOT handled the way that LensCrafters corporate wants stores to take care of their customers. If the story is true, and you're not leaving out some key information(like the frame was soldered) then you should be receiving a free frame.

LensCrafters review in Rochester, New York: Cost of contact lense's
I stopped at Lens Crafters in Market, Place Mall, Rochester, NY. I asked cost of box of lenses, realizing they were $35 less on line I requested a copy of my prescription. I ordered on line, it was denied because my prescription expired on 8/9/13, it is presently 8/12/13. I called Lens Crafters and they said I could sign a waiver because it is a NYS law that a prescription cannot be refilled after one year.I could order through them but had to pay $85.00 plus shipping!!! They should have stated that my prrescription was expired when he hand wrote a copy for me. Did he bnot notice that???? Had initial problems at very first exam-had to go back 3 times until they actually got it right & I could see. Won't be going back and pulling my family from here as well

How evil, they could not make your prescription which is tantamount to treachery, and your reasoning is they could make it 3 years ago...I'm almost positive it's not cost effective for the specific lens/prescrpt. package you would need. Jeez get over yourself.
Try to fumble your way to another place that sells glasses. Show them your script and ask if they can do it.
