LensCrafters review in Las Vegas, Nevada: Re: LensCrafter Salesperson, Mary, at #1761 Lake Mead Pavillion
I am 73 years old and I have never experienced such problems dealing in business with a salesperson representing a well established business such as LensCrafters . She talked me into applying for credit and asked me for my social security number to do this. She immediately said I was approved for $1200.00, however, (she never let me see my charges or customer receipt) she folded several papers and placed them in a small grey envelope. While she did this, she told me she and her mother have a brain tumor and that she lost lots of weight recently. She also stated that my bill totaled to $1309.00 and I would need to pay $109.13 now, to which I complied and gave her my debit card. When I got home later that evening, I opened the grey envelope Mary had given me and when I looked at my charges, I was upset and angry to see that Mary had taken it upon herself to add a "1 Year Protection Plan" without consulting me whether I wanted this or not. It was too late to call LensCrafters that evening, but next day I did and was transferred to Mary; she calmly told me some story, but when I insisted I wanted these two charges removed, she said o.k. and to come in. I drove to the store and Mary made some comments l did not like and I told her I did not want the sunglasses at this time, nor the credit; she replied, no problem, we'll do this transaction over. She said she cancelled my credit application, refunded me the $109.13 and I paid with my debit card for the reading glasses. On Friday evening I received a call from GE Capital Credit, claiming that I owed them $1200.00. I attempted to tell them that the credit line was cancelled at my request and that I already paid for my 2 pair of glasses with my debit card. They said they had no record of this cancellation and I would have to contact LensCrafters to straighten this matter out, but I owed them $1200.00! Why do I have to go through all this stress and difficulty due to a salesperson who is dishonest, perhaps, or greedy by trying to add to my bill, without my consent. I always assumed LensCrafters was an honest business, however, one bad bad apple........ Please help me by looking into this matter for me. Paula Ferguson
LensCrafters review in Las Vegas, Nevada: Transition lens coating started to peal
Coating on one of my lens started to peal off less than a year after they were made. Store manager told me I must have gotten a chemical on them. When I said the only thing I ever used on them was the cleaner they sold me he said there was nothing they could do. I've had transition lens from the time they first came out and only over the last few years have I had a problem with them. They sure don't tell you about this happening when they sell you the product. I was a customer ever since they started in business but no more. They are a rip off.
Lenscrafters Overpriced & Poor Service
I was a customer of Lenscrafters for 5 or 6 years. When you buy two pairs of glasses at a time and and replace frames almost every other year it gets very expensive. Two years ago when I ordered my glasses they came in wrong 3 times until they finally got it right. Last year because of all the mistakes they upgraded the lenses but I still paid over $800.00 for the glasses still using my frames. This year my prescription only changed for one eye but I was told I would have to pay for both lenses. The bill was almost $2,400.00 using my frames, thats insulting. I went to a different store and paid $568.00 for both pair. I had to replace both lenses on the sunglasses but only one on the other pair. When I called the lenscrafters manager he told me that they get a lot of complaints and he sympathizes with me but Lenscrafters has over 3,000 locations they don't care. Lenscrafters should be ashamed of them selfs "Talk about a Ripoff!"
Lenscrafters Customer Care
I had a coupon for $250.00 package for any frames up to $200, I was told only $100. I was told I would get the newest lenses that they have been advertising on TV. the kid took my order in the back and said I would have them in 1 hr. I decided to order a 2nd pair and finished the payment. The kid goes to the lab and comes back and says you have to wait 10 days. I told him I can't wait. Why did't you tell me, before the order? I called after 5 days and was told another 10 days. They called that same night, your glasses are ready. I pick them up and they are not the lenses I ordered, just the standard progressive ones. I am taking them back this week-end and getting my money back. Bad service and liars.
We just received a phone call from a collection agency stating we owe $84 for services provided by LensCrafters Fashion Show Mall Las Vegas back in Feb. 2010. At the time of visit, I paid $300 for my visit and contacts and my husband paid his $10 co-pay. We both got...
Lenscrafters Eye Exam
If you didn't like your glasses. If you didn't like how they treated you. If you didn't like the fact that the AR coating came off two years after your bought them. If you didn't like waiting for lenses. Or if you have any other complaint or just want FREE GLASSES!...
LensCrafters review in Las Vegas, Nevada: Very poor cust service
Took kids there for eye exam and right off the go were treated somewhat bad. Then when it was time for my daughter to get her glasses they were fine,I guess anything for a sale. Purchased glasses(by the way not cheap) and when they were suppose to be ready they werent and the mgr lied to me with the excuses. No one bothered to call me to let me know the glasses wouldnt be ready. When they finally did, they left the message for my 12 year old. As if she can just go & get them herself. Joke!!!!
I have spent hundreds on glasses, sunglasses, etc. at Lens Crafters over the years. Recently I had an economic downturn and needed help getting new glasses. Lens Crafters touted a charity program called "Gift of Sight Program". A person needed a prescription...
Lenscrafters rip off
Several years ago we went to Lenscrafters in Monterey Ca. and when my husband's picked up his new glasses the lens were cracked. He returned them 2 times and each time they were cracked. The fourth time they were scratched, they tried to buff it out and then told my husband that was the best they could do and he would have to just take them or leave them. We were headed on an extended vacation the next day so were basically stuck with them as my hubby is blind without his specs. We read in the newspaper several months later that this same Lenscrafters had a class action lawsuit filed against them for illegal services. We figured after several years , they would offer really good service but read on..... My husband and I recently went to Lenscrafters to get new glasses in Monterey, the store had moved to a new local so we were hopeful. My husband's old one's were so bad we wanted to try the 1 hour option. We noticed right away that the "techs' were very apathetic, did not make good eye contact and mumbled a lot. This is usually a sure sign of poor customer service. We went ahead and ordered our glasses. I had 2 insurances and the tech ignored my primary insurance coverage and said "lets use your husbands so I only have to look up one coverage". Mmmm! I was getting worried. I asked him if that was legal and he said it was and my husbands coverage was probably better then mine anyway (without even looking). Before the insurance my glasses cost $800.00 and my husband's $700.00. After insurance mine were $400 and his were $350. 5 years ago I bought glasses at my doctors office (which is the most expensive place in town) and they cost less then this! We decided to hang in there due to the 1 hour turn around. Then find out my glasses are going to take 2 weeks! We still hang in there as my husband really needed his glasses. When he came back to get them, they had a huge scratch in the middle! Considering Lenscrafters web site states all glasses are checked by 2 people for quality assurance, this was really unacceptable. He spoke to the Lab manager directly and she said it would be taken care of in one hour and she would call him when the new lenses were ready and let him wear the scratched pair home as his old glasses were so bad. They never called that day and unfortunately the lenses fell out of his new glasses 3 times in the next 2 days!!! He finally fixed them with a rubber band !! Even though they had said 1 hour service on the replacement, my husband waited several days without getting any call so then we headed back to the store to pick them up figuring they just forgot to call. We arrived at the store and when we told them why we were there they acted like we had a contagious disease! No one would wait on us and we just sat there. Finally my husband asked what was up and they all turned their backs on us. He kept asking and finally the guy who had originally waited on us the first day (and apparently had no memory of it) said there was no order in the computer for anything. My husband said he had watched the manager enter it and also add a handwritten note with the tray and order. Then all of a sudden he turns around and he said "You didn't leave your glasses so there was no order". My hubby explained that the Lab manager had specifically said he could wear the new glasses home and how the lens kept falling out. No comment from the staff on this count. Then some timid woman came over and said there was no reorder and she acted like we had unearthed some state disaster that she was under strict instructions not to discuss. It was so weird. We finally got very upset and asked for a refund for my hubby's glasses. Then the timid woman said, "I hope you don;t expect to keep these glasses for free"!!!I It was so insulting. I still had to come back to get my glasses and was dreading it. I asked the timid girl when the manger was scheduled to be there and she said she did not know. I asked her when my hubby's insurance refund would go through and she said she did not know. I asked for the number of the billing department and she said she did not know. I asked her if my glasses were ready yet and she said she did not know. When we got home 20 minutes later, they called and said my glasses were ready!! Later the same week I went back over and when we got there we were treated like lepers!! No one greeted us (again) and we had to ask to be helped even though we were the only ones in the store with 4 staff including the manager. The manager ignored us completely A tech we never saw before helped us and when he brought my glasses out, I considered keeping them for a second but because the customer service so far had been so lousy, I knew if something went wrong with them I was screwed so I politely and quietly said "i don;t like them, I would like a refund". The tech did not say one word, grabbed the glasses out of my and walked away. We sat there stunned and then he yelled from across the store to come over and sign for the refund. There was several customers in the store now and they all stared at us. The staff was so rude and unaccommodating I could not believe it. I hope they video tape all interaction and will us our visits as a training video for "what not to do to keep customers" !!!
