LensCrafters review in Indianapolis, Indiana: 1st visit extremely poor, 2nd visit BETTER!
They tried to push the lower inferior lenses on me stating that I didn't need the higher quality and were trying to give me the poly carbonate. I told them I had done my research and knew exactly what I was looking for and to provide what I asked for. Needless to say...the lenses that I chose are now on order and they are plastic. My first experience was horrible, the woman acted like she didn't want to help me, but the 2nd time I went in, the woman was a lot more helpful and explained things a lot more. You should always research before buying anything like this. Have some sort of idea when you go in what you are looking for and don't let them talk you out of anything and into something you don't want!

Lenscrafters says to use there cleaner and tissue and I do and the coating on my lenses start to break down within 6 months . The coating slowly starts to break down causing the lenses to look scratchy.
They have replaced several pairs of lenses to fix this and the last time they said no more.
They do not tell you it wears off and they know it won't last but they sell you on it anyway. Stat away from that place.

LensCrafters review in Indianapolis, Indiana: Damaged lenses
Stress marks near the edges of my lenses have crept down into my line of vision. When I took them into LensCrafters, I was told that the warrantee had expired and I must have sat on them. I've been wearing glasses for over 45 years so am pretty sure I know better than to sit on them. A friend of mine has glasses purchased from the same location that are showing similar fractures on the edges. It's clear that this is a quality control issue. I had done business with LensCrafters for several years. But they've gotten their last dollar from me. I've bought a new pair of glasses elsewhere.

LensCrafters review in Indianapolis, Indiana: I have waited now 4 weeks for nothing
I was told I would have my new glasses within two weeks from Lenscrafters at the Glendale Mall in Indianapolis, but after repeated phone calls on my part to try to get the ball rolling, I am still waiting 4 weeks for my glasses to materialize. I was told there had been problems on two different occasions with the plant getting the lenses prepared. No hint of Lenscrafters perhaps giving me some sort of credit for this long wait. I am afraid good service has gone out the window. I was also told by the store manager that she would get back to me to let me know the latest. I am still waiting for that call.

Visited LC in Austin, TX for glasses. I have extreme opposites in my eyes, farsighted and nearsighted, and knew it was going to be tough to wear glasses.
I've always had contacts. When I got the glasses, the double vision was extreme, as they told me it would be, and recommended the slab off. I didn't have time as I was moving out of state and figured I would visit a LC in my new city for the procedure.
The double vision only occurred when I turned my eyes but didn't happen when I looked straight so I managed without the slab off pretty well. My eyes have adjusted to the glasses so I think I'll keep them the way they are.

LensCrafters review in Indianapolis, Indiana: Anti Glare Coating Rubbing Off
I paid over 400.00 for glasses and Lens Crafters sold me the anti-glare coating. In less than 1 yr. it is rubbing off. I asked if they could remove the coating and they said no that it just rubs off. The glass is not scratched and I take good care of my glasses. If they had told me the anti-glare would rub off I would not have purchased it. They said they could replace the lens for 1/2 price. What a rip off and really poor customer service. Lens Crafters has lost my family's business.

LensCrafters review in Indianapolis, Indiana: Lens Crafters Take Over Contacts and Screw It Up.
I have been getting my contacts at Dr. H. Hubbard and Associates fior may years. All I had to do was call,and they would order them. Later when they arrived at the local store and I would go and pay for the contacts and take them home. Now that Lens Crafters has bought the rights to sell contacts from Dr. Hubbard. Lens Crafters policy is contacts must be paid for before they will order them! That causes the consumer to make two trips that should only take one. Another story of the customer is no longer considered right and treated fairly.
