Disappointed | LensCrafters review

After shopping and having my new glasses Adjusted I sat across the desk of the salesman who helped me- who was interrupted several times by another employee who was waiting on a customer . She had several questions and both salespeople spent well over 15 minutes resolving something on an iPad! Never said excuse me, no apology for the interruption and went on like that in front of me while a patiently waited.... Finally I got up And left and said I was out of time. Neither realized that I was pissed. Just plain BAD etiquette at a store that I liked

As Mark Twain once quipped: "common sense is not so very common" or something like that. You are describing the actions of mere store clerks with a probable public school education in "feelings" or similar and nothing else. Best to shop elsewhere.

They don't honor the gift of sight program | LensCrafters review from Chicago, Illinois

Got glasses throu gift of sight program. But after I picked my frames out, got told I could only get the frames bent... Also said they fix everything when lens get put in. Not even close, left lens screw won't get right enough to keep left lens in frame. I go back to same location and get told every excuse for why can't put a new screw in and worse get me a different frame that won't allow lens to fall out. But no plus get bitched put on how LensCrafters no longer does gift of sight program or discounts for low income folks. So am worse of that before cause least had old glasses know don't have them eighter. Not sure what food

Details
LensCrafters makes a low quality product. My Coating from lenses have come off repeatedly on multiple sets of lenses. It does not even last a year. When u ask them about poor quality they act like this is the first time they have heard this. They want to sell you $500 lenses every year. I have been their customer for the last 15 years. But not anymore. Their product is low quality and their customer service shows that they don't care.

Optometrist got my prescription wrong | LensCrafters review

Details
Dr. Doyle of Indianapolis wrote an incorrect prescription for my glasses. I went in for recheck and asked to see a different doctor. It sounds like others have had problems with Dr. Doyle, who felt the need to say during my 1st exam, “I know what I’m doing.” When I was being checked in for the re-exam, one of the techs said, “that’s been happening. Unfortunately she still works there.

First my eye exam was a half hour late. The employees were very unprofessional/unfriendly. Than after my exam it took 20 minutes before someone helped me get glasses. I picked out the frames I wanted. And than the woman helping me showed me the price. I realized I couldn't afford their ridiculously overpriced glasses. That's when I noticed the prescription didn't have my pupil distance on it. Just paid $139.00 for an incomplete prescription. I asked the woman about and she says oh let me get that for you. She comes back and says we don't give out that information. So basically I threw away $139.00. Not paying $550 for a pair of glasses that I can get for $160.00 elsewhere.
