Lenscrafters - Eye Exam Review from Lawrenceville, Georgia

BAD SERVICE, I had my yearly exam done here and they never got my contact/glasses persctiption correct. I paid a little over $140.00 and walked a way not able to see. I went in the office 3 times after my initial visit and gave up after I was still u unable to see. I was not provided a refund due to their no refund policy! Please dont throw ur money away! Think how many times would u have to keep coming back? I can understand maybe a second try but three times!!!! I visited another eye doctor and walked out seeing perfectly fine!

Three Strikes Shame on Me

Brookline Ma.Three times on glass prescription. First time RX Sunglasses different shade one darker than the other, real hassle for them to admit error, second experience progressive lens, spotting on lens, another hassle to make them right even with the protection plan. third experience Persol frames with progressive lens, had cataract surgery with new script from eye surgeon and wanted to keep frames, weaker prescription wanted $ 500.00 to replace the lens., this will be last my last visit. Extremely poor service, feel like dealing with used car salesman, I have no faith in Lenscrafters making the correct script.

I have been getting glasses at LensCrafters for me and my entire family for the past 20 years. Noticing for over longer than ten years now that the customers services and the quality have gone drown the sewer dramatically. At this point I am done giving chances to this company which obviously does not care for their customers satisfaction. From now on I am taking my business elsewhere instead of givin my money to a company that treats their customers like dirt. "Walmart" is offering better quality and customer services that LensCrafters. Every time I go to LensCrafters I see less and less people in that place, and even when I have been the only one in the store I have been ignored and made wait a long time before I have been offered help. The haven't graciously honored their "30 days customer satisfaction". Their overpriced frames and their poor customer services is enough encouragement to search for a better place which wouldn't take much. If you need a pair of glasses STAY AWAY from LensCrafters, unless you want to pay a lot of money for junk and be treated like dirt in the process.

I went to lenscrafters in ne ohio and I was completely disatisfied. The employees were rude and seemed to not care at all about my purchase, so much so I don't even want to contribute to their sales.

Horrible service

I would and have not recommended lens Crafters to anyone. they are rip offs, with bad attitudes, and no concern for you, your time or needs. go to a real optometrist and eye care center, you'll be glad you did. my glasses lenses kept falling out and they could not fix them right either. the strength was never right. there is really nothing good to say about them. I know they have been around a long time in business, but they should be checked on more often or have shoppers go in there to check on them and their ways. inferior company for sure. don't go there unless you like getting ripped off.

I would give no stars if I could. Entered this store and was looking for a new pair of Burberry glasses. Firstly there is a security guard standing at the door, eyeing everyone up. I walked in (with no glasses anywhere near me) and reached into my purse to get out my phone (where I had saved some of the item numbers of the glasses I had found online that I liked) and the security guard wouldn't stop staring at me. I wanted to take my phone and shake it in his face and ask him what his problem was. Having him there just made the whole experience super uncomfortable. Staff pretty much ignored us. I went to the Burberry section and found the pair that I wanted and looked around again for someone to help me. FINALLY a manager came by and asked if I had been helped, I told him no, and he alerted a store assistant who said she would be 'right with me'. After walking by me 4 times and not even acknowledging me another lady (who was helping another customer) randomly looked up and said 'if you would just have a seat I will help you', not sure if it was just her tone but it came across super rude. After sitting and waiting another 15 minutes she finally came over and you could tell that she could care less about helping me. She seemed to think it was a big problem that I had a prescription from somewhere else (where I always get my contact lenses from) and I had to really push her for information. All the questions I asked were met with a very cold one word response (most of the time she didn't even look at me when she answered). Finally I told her that I wanted to buy a certain Burberry pair but that they were slightly damaged so was wondering if they had another pair in the back. She just responded with a cold 'no' and no other suggestions, just 'what you see is what you get'. I asked if I could order a pair and she shrugged her shoulders and said 'if you must have a new pair then we could'. I ended up just leaving the glasses and leaving the store. Considering how much I loved the glasses it really took a lot for me to just walk out of the store, but I will NEVER go back there, an absolutely horrible experience. And in my mind if they treat you that bad BEFORE you have even bought anything, how bad will it be when you have to come back for little tighten up jobs etc.. save your money and shop somewhere else!

What a scam at lenscrafters !!! 50% off sale ??

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!. Todays date is 09/07/2015. I tried to take advantage of the 50% off sale. I wear a very common frame. Not Oakley or Ray-ban. The retail on the frame is about $189.00. My prescription is tri focal with no lines and plastic lenses. The sales person looked at AAA and ARAP to see for discounts. In the end they wanted $476.00. I then said OK...Take the 50% off now. They said that is with the 50% off now !!!! She turned the screen and showed me the retail price (that was jacked up) at $952.00. THIS IS FOR A VERY COMMON SET OF GLASSES !! I took my prescription and left !!!. I will give the money to a small Optometrist first even if it cost me $100.00 more !! Do not be caught up in the 50% savings !! Also, realize that the frames are China made and most likely cost about $5.00. The plastic lenses are PROBALLY bought in high volume for under $5.00 each I would say. I understand that they need to make money and pay for help, lights, rent and so on. I own a business also, for the past 30 years. In my opinion, Lens crafters is a very nice scam. go to a small Optometrist and get honesty and true work ethics. If you say, well my insurance covers this....does it??? Or will it just raise insurance cost more??

Right. I can tell you I'm giving you "50% off" of ANYTHING by making you believe it "really" should cost twice what I'm charging you. Pathetic ***.

Guest

If you do the math- Your pricing doesn't add up. For a pair of no-line lens and a $200 frame.

$ 476 is Average. By your pricing No-line lens would cost $287.

Unless you have shopped for glasses at Walmart or America's Best (who does that). Compare prices- Lenscrafters is right there with the rest of them.

I waited inside this Miami Int'l Mall Lenscrafters’ store for one hour until my glasses were ready. There was a lady who wore men's clothes. I heard she made fun and bad comments about clients that were inside the store. In one occasion, a female client complained to this lady that she was showing her only men's frames; she yielded at her: 'these frames are too masculine’ and stared at her. Besides, this Cuban lady was commenting about two men and said they looked “gays” and then laughed. She was kind of nasty and rude to the clients inside the store. She also looked very strange. Thank you for your attention.

Was told time of service that insurance covered my contacts, I paid co-pay and left with 4 box of contacts. 3 months later they bill me since insurance did not cover. I told them I would have not bought the 4 boxes if I had known at the time of service. She said so what you still took the 4 boxes!!??!! She even told me that they usually don't give anything to customers unless paid in full time of service. Seems like they made the mistake. She was rude, short and was treated me like I was the ***. My point is that they are the office and should've known my insurance was not going to pay and I should have not left with 4 boxes of contacts. They made the mistake of not checking my insurance

I don't work for them, but it is your responsibility to know your insurance before you go to an appointment.

Guest

People need to KNOW their insurance coverage. Take responsibility.

Guest

I would be more upset with the insurance company not covering your contacts. Having worked in an optometry office, there have been several instances where our staff verified benefits and eligibility before a patient would come in, then having to bill the patient for something because we were given the wrong information by one of the representatives.

I've called an insurance company out on it, but all they respond with is "the terms of payment are determined when a claim is received and reviewed and are not a guarantee of payment". Complete ***, if you ask me.

That being said, she should have offered alternatives to billing you, such as returning any boxes that weren't covered by the insurance and not have been rude about it.

Good luck telling them they got it wrong

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I recently got a pair of glasses from them. When I initially put them on, I could tell the lenses were really warped along the edges. I felt like I was in a tunnel and if I looked anywhere outside of the focal point it would make me dizzy. When wearing them I found I would have to turn my whole head to keep things in proper focus. I mentioned this to the sales person and they assured me I just needed time to get used to it. After about 4 hours of wearing them, the strain on my eyes was far too much. My eyes were bright red and incredibly irritated. I could not even switch back to my contacts because my eyes hurt too much. I went back to see if there was something they could do to help fix it. Every time I mentioned there was something wrong with the lens, they kept turning it around making me feel like it was my fault the glasses were not working. I had not given them enough time to adjust. I had the wrong prescription. I picked too big of glasses. This was beyond frustrating. They weren't listening and I've never had a pair of glasses that hurt my eyes so bad. Heaven forbid I ask for a refund. I had to stand firm on their company policy as stated in their website that if I did not love the glasses I would get my money back. When a refund was mentioned they kept trying to change the subject so I had to put my foot down. It took me going back twice before I got a refund. Terrible.

I have been a customers of Lenscrafters for a long time. I have bought at least 8 pairs of glasses from them. And my last pair in 18 months or so have spider web cracked on the surface. I went into the store and they said they were exposed to extreme heat and they are over 1 year old and there for they will do nothing. I gave them one chance to save my business and now I have bought glasses else where. Nobody can believe how bad my glasses are. But Lenscrafters didnt seem surprised at all.

I went to the LensCrafters at Firewheel in Garland. My first time there and my last. I didn't realized that they had overcharged me on a pair of glasses until a couple of days later. The price on the tag was lower than that of the charged price on the receipt. Seem simple enough to go back and have them reimbursed the difference. That didn't happen. They said that the price on the tag was incorrect. So, they didn't reimbursed me. Any other places would have honor their mistakes. She grabbed my frames and cut off the tag. Needless to say I will not patron any LensCrafters ever again.

I just picked up my prescription eye glasses at the store in Overland Park, KS. I purchased lens with a retail value of almost $1,000 and the cleaning supplies I received were 3 packets of towelettes. This is the worst cleaning package I have ever received when purchasing lens of this type. I do not anticipate coming back to your stores in the future based on this level of service. It is extremely disappointing to spend a retail value on eye glasses of over $1,200 and get this level of service. The lenses were the verilux, no line bifocal, transition and premium ar combination. I purchased similar lens from other companies and have always been provided with cleaning cloths and solutions to last longer than 3 cleanings.
