I woud like to say first, that i just viewed the new comercial. I am upset with the statement that our eyes are the window of the gods. This statement was thrown into the middle of many other statements about eyes. This statement tells me your are not a christian...

I purchased prescription lenses and designer frames (spent $600). Was told it would take 2 weeks max to get my glasses and that someone would contact me. When I called to follow up after 2 weeks, I was told the lenses came in and that some would call me later that...

Lenscrafters Manager

Lenscrafters could not make my precription!

We have been using Lenscrafters for 15 years and had no complaints until now. I went to get new glasses with transitional lenses. I was told after the exam by the lab manager that they could not make any kind of glasses for me because my prescription was too powerful! Mind you, Lenscrafters had no problem making glasses with my prescription in 2010. Now I was told that the computer would not allow them to manufacture my prescription because it was outside the allowed parameters. The staff to their credit tried everything to make it possible but were defeated by their own system. How is it a company can no longer make its own product because of computer programs?

How evil, they could not make your prescription which is tantamount to treachery, and your reasoning is they could make it 3 years ago...I'm almost positive it's not cost effective for the specific lens/prescrpt. package you would need. Jeez get over yourself.

Try to fumble your way to another place that sells glasses. Show them your script and ask if they can do it.

If they broke your glasses because they had to determine what type of lens you are in, then you are entitled to a new frame from their inventory. Did you talk to the general manager of the store?

If they refused, did you go to the district manager?

I'm familiar enough with LensCrafters to know that this was NOT handled the way that LensCrafters corporate wants stores to take care of their customers. If the story is true, and you're not leaving out some key information(like the frame was soldered) then you should be receiving a free frame.

That's a lie that you have to go through Oakley directly!! Luxottica, the company that owns Lenscrafters, owns Oakley now.

Stay away from Luxottica if you can, they are shady people to do business with. I used to work for them and I know all about their shady business practices. They owe you new glasses. Call corporate and complain.

That is the only way you will get anything done. Threaten to report them to the better business bureau and they will do anything to prevent that ,)

I have been shopping at at Lenscrafters for at least 20 yrs.

Quality and customer service is in decline. Very overpriced.

Corporate needs to take a look at these major issues. Last 2 times, and my last time, the store was empty in a very busy mall.

You can just fool customers so long.

LensCrafters in Elkton, Maryland - Need only one lens changed? Forget about it!!

After cataract surgery in one eye that resulted in 20/20 vision in that eye, I took my Lenscrafter prescription sunglasses to the store I bought them in to have the left eye replaced with plain glass. I was told that I had to have both lenses replaced, at the original cost (about $300 for a pair of progressive lenses) even though 1) I only needed one lens changed and 2) one of the two lenses was plain glass which should have lowered the cost even if I chose that route. I argued for awhile with the service person and left in a huff when I could not get an adequate explanation for such a ridiculous policy. What a terrible way to treat the elderly who need several lens changes over a short period of time due to the changes in the eye accompanying cataract surgery. I went to another small eyeglass store for help, and they are doing this replacement for $20. Shame on Lenscrafters for gouging us!!!!! This is the last time I deal with you and will spread the word!!!!

As a non LensCrafters Optician there is a reason for this. You want the same material and coatings on both the lenses, I wont sell 1 lens either, they would be as risk of being sued if you got in an accident.

LensCrafters in Las Vegas, Nevada - Transition lens coating started to peal

Coating on one of my lens started to peal off less than a year after they were made. Store manager told me I must have gotten a chemical on them. When I said the only thing I ever used on them was the cleaner they sold me he said there was nothing they could do. I've had transition lens from the time they first came out and only over the last few years have I had a problem with them. They sure don't tell you about this happening when they sell you the product. I was a customer ever since they started in business but no more. They are a rip off.

LensCrafters in Chesterfield, Missouri - I lost a lens. Less than 6 month old. Wanted to sell me exam, new frames, and lens for both sides or no sale.

Gal at counter was more interested in playing grab-*** with guy than wait on customers. I'm 70 years old, and by the time I get some glasses with their rules I'll be dead or blind. Is this part of their discrimination policy against old folks? Or an old man in bib overalls? Is this a part of the corp's profit prevention program? (Do they sell stock in L.C.? Watch out!). I'm sure the guys in their ivory tower get good service. This is modern society's problem, give me paycheck, but I don't give a whit about customers, or working to solve problems.
