Lenscrafters - Manager Review from Houston, Texas

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Lenscrafters in Foley, AL. was very unprofessional when I requested to their manager, Clark, that I wanted to purchase a certain pair of glasses. As the salesperson, Clark continued to argue that I should not buy those and should buy what he chose for me. I left the store, and tried again later. He still acted rude and tried to advertise my personal information to various people in the store. Then I left for good, and was not able to purchase what I wanted. Do not try to buy glasses at Lenscrafters in Foley, AL.

Defective lens and we get blamed? WHAT????

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Noticed edge bubbles on my mothers glasses she bought in Feb 2016. We ran over to the LensCrafters at Gulfview Mall in Port Richey, FL where she bought frames and showed them. Their very first words were were " did you buy the 1 year guarantee?" (Our salesperson did not tell us about that ) ..as we showed them the glasses all they spoke about was how the "inside" lens were scratched..NOT the the peeling of of the film on the edges. Then proceeded to be very condensending to my 85 year old Mother on how she treated her glasses! We asked how does one scratch the inside if it is not from cleaning? Finally the young lady away from her berating manager said..you must have Steal eyelashes because she has never seen this before..Hahah. Back story...they had to change put her lens in 2 weeks to another frame due to a frame arm breaking...could THEY have scratched then??

To be honest, we don't care about scratching ( a bully sales tactic) but want the lifting film to be corrected!

As of now, my Mom feels cheated and abused. She did go ahead and recorder lens, of course, scared to death and ordered the 1 year guarantee. She needs the glasses to see!!

I will stop at other places tomorrow to get their honest opinions on what is going on...we feel taken, abused, and bullied.

I will report this to the Attorney General's office for Florida State. Eventually, Lens crafters will cease to bully and financially abuse honest customers!!!

Lenscrafters - Customer Care Review from Campbell, Alberta

As an optician I am very sorry to hear of your dissapointing experience. I am a former employee of Lens Crafters and can tell you this much: they will hire anyone and unfortunately do not provide sufficient training to the Eyewear consultants and Opticians. They work on comission and most are money hungry and yet extremely lazy Opticians. Any issues presented by the customer are in most cases deamed "a burden" as you are taking away their time from potential sales for other customers. Hence why the lady tried to talk you into purchasing another pair (which is just ridiculous). I am sorry to say that the "sleazy saleman" attitude exists among eye care professionals these days. Being in the industry for 6 years myself it is very hard to come across a hardworking and dedicated coworker who is passionate about their job and will go above and beyond for their patients. The "scratched" lens you presented is indeed a coating defect within the lens itself and should have been remade at no charge, no questions asked. It's sad to say that places such as Lens Crafters/Pearl Vision (both owned by Luxottica) and Hakim Optical provide terrible service and poor quality. As an optician, the stories I hear are unreal and the complaints from customers regarding the service and product from these companies is very sad.

I bought a pair of glasses at lens ripoff in Slidell Louisiana. It took three weeks to get them .One week later the lens fell out . Don't know how long it will take to fix them.it only took thirty seconds to take my $500.00. If I ever go to lens ripoff again I need to kick my own ***. I will let everyone know its best to go blind before dealing with this company.

It seems the Johnson City location has gotten worse and worse as far as customer service. The most caddy rude people ever. You don't need to make smart remarks to your customer unless you just don't care and don't care if you lose business because that's exactly what you have done.

WRONG PERSCRIPTION AND UPSIDE DOWN

First of all the optometrist after examining me said my eyes would grow accustom to the new glasses and to give it a month or so. (my first mistake) I got bifocals seamless with all the trimmings.

They made them wrong, the glass was upside down. i was passing out and having daily headaches, I thought I was dying. You maybe saying I should have did something immediately, but back to what the optometrist told me and I was on the road for 4 months. When I got back they were gone and out of business!

That was $700 dollars in the toilet. AND I finally went to a "real" optometrist and he told me not only were the glasses upside down but the prescription was wrong.

I WILL NEVER GO TO LENSCRAFTERS AGAIN!!! AND I AND GOING TO TELL EVERYONE I KNOW!!!!!

I wish I'd read the poor reviews. Paid for my glasses and told they were in and to stop by anytime to pick them up. Went after work. Nobody took my name or attempted to wait on me. Instead desk person LAUGHED at me! Said "you're #3 in line after we're done with everyone seated." Left and asked customer service online if possible to ship me my already paid for eyeglasses. 3 days later customer service replied that they will "investigate" and let me know in another 3 days! "Ready in an hour"- my f$@$! Holding my paid for property for no *** reason! NEVER AGAIN! I want my property. Paid 700 and no glasses yet!

Lenscrafters Lens Coatings Flaking Off!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Lens coatings came off after only 1 1/2 years! I had the same thing happen to mine!

They claimed it was because I wasn't washing my cleaning cloths often enough! BS! I own an optics company and we have our own branded microfiber cleaning cloths so that can't be the reason. I even wonder if some of it came off and got into my eyes!

I suddenly had something scratch my eye, but couldn't identify anything specifically in it. I even had to go to the eye doctor. My eye doctor told me that the coatings were coming off that's why I couldn't see clearly out of the lenses any longer. Hmmm.

Sounds like a class-action suit should happen.

Especially since I also suddenly had high eye pressures. Thanks for writing your story here!

The coating on the lens of my wife’s glasses started coming off 6 months after purchase. Lens crafters manager in Myrtle Beach implied this was due to the way they were being cleaned.

We paid $455 after insurance for what I consider to be a poor quality defective product. I recommend buying your glasses somewhere else!

Bought glasses AT Lenscrafters based on independent Doctor RX. Glasses came back with blurred vision in right lens. Took glasses back. Told to go back to eye doc. I did. Came back with slightly different RX. Paid for upgraded lenses. Guess what? Right eye still blurry. LensCrafters do not believe in service after the sale and no refunds. Went to Visionworks and paid for another pair of glasses and BOOM! No Problem with right eye blurry issue. Thank you Visionworks! Never again LensCrafters! I would still like a refund.

Enamel peeling off, poor quality

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Purchased a pair of Ray Ban frames from Lenscrafters at La Cantera shopping center. After 12 months, the color enamel started peeling off.

About 18 months the enamel peeled off in several places on the frame front and back. I took care my glasses pretty good, and in some spots that are even impossible to get touched or scratched. I believe it is the poor quality of frame. I stopped by the Lenscrafters store where I purchased the frame, but manager basically said people need replace glasses/frames every year, and she would not do anything to correct the problem.

I paid premium price for a brand name frame and expect the good quality of it, but it is even no better than some cheap frames from Wal-Mart. Very disappointed with Lenscrafters.

Worst Service Ever offered by Sue The Manager.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Worst service ever! Not only that the new employee that tried very hard to answer my questions without success could not answer any of my questions, the un-experienced manager, SUE, did not want to wait on me because, as she said, without a prescription I cannot help you!

The manager SUE couldn't answer any of my questions, would not wait on me because I did not have my prescription with me, however I had the new prescription information, but because I did not have the actual prescription she would not wait on me nor answer any questions, looks like you can't get waited on at Lenscrafters if you only want to just learn and try on glasses. The funny part is that I was a returned customer. I do not recommend Lenscrafters.

Ps. this is going to be posted on may sites.
