LensCrafters - Unprofessional service at lens crafters in lakeland,fl. north side office.

Took prescription in on Thurs, Aug.14th, at 10:30 A.M.. Suppose to take 1hr, called back at 5:00 P. M. And was told their cutter had broken down and they had to take them to south side store. Employee would pick up on way to work at 1:00 Friday. Called and left cell phone number at 11:45 on Friday. Called again around 4:00, still no glasses, said they would be in Sat. Went in Sat. And spoke with general mgr, Shawn Pluckett, said that he would look into it personally and find out what happen. Gave them my cell number again. At 2:14P.m. I called and told them I would cancel and would like a refund. When we got to the store, the general manager had sent out a lab tech. She was very rude and at one time told my husband to hush. It took longer to get my refund than it did to purchase glasses. Will not use Lens Crafters or recommend them anymore.

I can't say enough good things about the Lenscrafters at Ridgedale in Minnesota. I brought them a prescription for bifocals from another doctor. They filled it quickly but I couldn't read with the new glasses. It turned out the doctor (who was completely unaffiliated...

Where? There are only about 1,000 LensCrafters in the U.S.

They are way too expensive, and way too busy, but not usually this bad.

I had a horrible experience with Sears Optical in Dallas years ago. The place closed down, thank God!

I have always bought my frames and contact lenses from Lenscrafters - even though they are exorbitantly priced - because I assume that a national chain will have accountability (after reading reviews on this site, however, I guess that's no guarantee) I purchased...

The Lenscrafter rep. Was extremely abrasive. Very defensive when showing her my scratched glasses. Immediately said, and I quote, "Those can't be fixed", before I could say one word. I was actually there to purchase new lenses. You should be listening to what the...

Wow. Misleading review.

Obviously you're just an abrasive customer who thinks they are royalty and that people, whilst working in the service industry, should know their place and keep their mouth shut while princess you is speaking.

I certainly hope I'm never shopping for glasses at the same time as you anywhere. Seeing people act like royalty and treating service people as peasants makes me uncomfortable.

I experienced a problem with the frames coming apart. My complaint is with Ray ban, NOT PRECISION LENSCRAFTERS. The lower 3/4 of each lens is held in place by a gold tone metal frame which is held in place to top plastic frame by 2 tiny screws. When the screws work...

LensCrafters in Las Vegas, Nevada - Re: LensCrafter Salesperson, Mary, at #1761 Lake Mead Pavillion

I am 73 years old and I have never experienced such problems dealing in business with a salesperson representing a well established business such as LensCrafters . She talked me into applying for credit and asked me for my social security number to do this. She immediately said I was approved for $1200.00, however, (she never let me see my charges or customer receipt) she folded several papers and placed them in a small grey envelope. While she did this, she told me she and her mother have a brain tumor and that she lost lots of weight recently. She also stated that my bill totaled to $1309.00 and I would need to pay $109.13 now, to which I complied and gave her my debit card. When I got home later that evening, I opened the grey envelope Mary had given me and when I looked at my charges, I was upset and angry to see that Mary had taken it upon herself to add a "1 Year Protection Plan" without consulting me whether I wanted this or not. It was too late to call LensCrafters that evening, but next day I did and was transferred to Mary; she calmly told me some story, but when I insisted I wanted these two charges removed, she said o.k. and to come in. I drove to the store and Mary made some comments l did not like and I told her I did not want the sunglasses at this time, nor the credit; she replied, no problem, we'll do this transaction over. She said she cancelled my credit application, refunded me the $109.13 and I paid with my debit card for the reading glasses. On Friday evening I received a call from GE Capital Credit, claiming that I owed them $1200.00. I attempted to tell them that the credit line was cancelled at my request and that I already paid for my 2 pair of glasses with my debit card. They said they had no record of this cancellation and I would have to contact LensCrafters to straighten this matter out, but I owed them $1200.00! Why do I have to go through all this stress and difficulty due to a salesperson who is dishonest, perhaps, or greedy by trying to add to my bill, without my consent. I always assumed LensCrafters was an honest business, however, one bad bad apple........ Please help me by looking into this matter for me. Paula Ferguson

You should try America's Best in KOP. They are fantastic!!

The girls that work in the office are so pleasant and helpful. Not to mention that America's Best has the BEST prices of any optical place in the nation. Guess that's why they are called America's Best. But regardless, the employees there are very knowledgeable as well as extremely friendly.

The managers are also excellent and strive to make EVERY single customer happy. I have never had a bad experience with America's Best.

Definitely give them a try. :grin

I purchased my glasses from LC last August (2018) and paid about $600 - progressives, antiglare, transition (no warranty). I have been a loyal LC customer for about 15 years (computer glasses, distance, prescription sun etc).

Within a few months I noticed that both lens appeared 'foggy'; the right far more than the left. I don't live in the US and when I returned 6 months after purchase, I visited another LC and they said they're scratches and no warranty - no help. On another trip I went to the store in South Florida I purchased from (still under one year) and the sales person was not very pleasant: it's scratched etc. But reading these comments I believe that the lenses were faulty and peeling.

I decided to get a new pair elsewhere and they said they were indeed peeling.

I've always taken very good care of my glasses and have never had any issues before. I will not return to LC again.
