LensCrafters in Sainte Genevieve, Missouri - They sell the cheapest lenses for the most expensive price

2.5
Details
I usually buy my glasses from Zennioptical.Com. a online glass store. Glasses are for 6 to 35 $ used them for years really good. However I used lenscrafters, I bought very expensive glasses 2 pairs a versace and a ray ban paid several hundred dollars for them. The one of the lens on my versace started to crack!! Atthe edges. I took it back to lenscrafters they told me:" oh I've seen that before, but I can't do anything for you since it has been several of months when you bought them. " I've been wearing glasses all my life I've never seen this happen before. It's sad they charge you so much for such cheap products. I will never ever buy from them again. For what I paid for these glasses I could have bought 30 or 40 pairs from Zennioptical.Com.

I purchased glasses in January 2014. I noticed the lenses are splitting at the edges. The frame is in immaculate condition. I went to the store. They suggested that I used lotion on my hands then touched my lenses. That made the lenses split. I barely wear my...

This is ridiculous. Are you proud if yourself?

I don't like lenscrafters, either. But there is a lot wrong with this country.

But making up multiple blogs about a glasses company is a waste of time and a misrepresentation. I hope you disclose in these blogs that they are each one of many written by the same loser.

Lenscrafters Eyeglasses Review

Got glasses on 1/2 price lens special. Paid 514. Returned under 30 day guarantee. They fully honored guarantee. Checked Costco. Good frame selection, same lenses, hundreds of dollars less expensive. Just saying.

LensCrafters - $515 for viralux progressive lenses

1.5
Details
Either there is a monopoly on the lenses or there must be no limit rip off sale going on. This either means that some consumer protection agency needs to look into this. Eye glasses used to fall in 250-350 range now they are ranging 650-750. The next pricing will be 850-950. Even the insurance companies pay only $60 but like to get a high premium. So what service are they providing? I hope the online companies do a proper job and get market share. The only problem is measurement. One you get the proper measurement online you can get equally good glasses.

Varilux lenses are easily better than any other lens option out there, working in the industry, people have an easier time adapting to progressives when using the Varilux than any other. The lens is expensive because it's a good(some would argue the best) lens and as the other commenter said, the manufacturer(essilor) charges quite a bit. Even going to a private practice, they will cost you more than other progressive lenses.

viralux progressive lenses are quite a bit of $ because the lens manufacturer charges a lot for them. If you wanted glasses in the $250-$350 they could have made them for you, but depending on your Rx they might have been thicker.

LensCrafters in Auburn, Maine - Waiting for refund

Purchased new pair of glasses and paid cash at the Auburn Mall, Auburn, Ma. Realized the frames were larger and heavier than originally pair I wanted so I returned a few days later. No problem returning however, I needed to have my refund mailed to me in the form of a check. That irritated because I wanted the refund to possibly find glasses elsewhere asap. I was told it usually takes 4 business days to receive, but no longer than 2 weeks. Impossible to contact Lenscrafter by 800 # " All agents busy, call back later. Couldn't contact via email from their website. Because they require you log-in and the page insisted my email address is invalid. Went to store location, give another number to try.... after prompting to agreeing to take a survey, I got someone on the phone. They now have to contact the store to verify ( gave info from refund receipt etc.) then find out where the check is. Bottom line, it's been THREE weeks and I still have not received my refund. It's now been.
