LensCrafters review: Don't Ever Give Them Your Phone Number

Went in and bought glasses about a year and a half ago, used a prescription from my own doctor. Now I can't stop getting phone calls first from the store and now from an 888 number about getting an eye exam, I've never used their doctors. Told the people at the store I had my own doctor. Had voice mails left on my cell phone from three different people (one of them claimed to be calling from the store I bought the glasses) spoke to two additional people about being removed from the list due to having my own doctor, and God they will say anything to get you to schedule with them. I've finally blocked the 888 number and I will never go back to Lenscrafters if they're going to harass their customers like this.

In 2012 they started "customer connection calls" to help bring customers back in even without having their doctors used. They have limited info on the person they are calling.

The corporate offices push a certain amount of calls per associate to keep up with their desired quota. In the program, which took awhile to get developed, it logs how long they were on the phone and whether a message was left or not to help reduce recalls.

It's a ridiculous "marketing strategy". All about the money and not about the customer anymore.

Employees Review

The employees in the Battlefield Mall store in Springfield, MO act like you are bothering them if you call them on the phone. When you go into the store several of the young employees are real rude and they act like smartelics.

Of course, the one day I go to LensCrafters their machines are "broken." Well, so are my glasses. So much so that they are taped and I feel like a total loser going out in public with taped glasses. But, I was told they'd be done tomorrow and even that is a shorter wait than anywhere else I could go. Just for kicks I called at 5 for an update (I was in at 9 am). My sunglasses were ready but there was a mistake on the left lense of my regular glasses and it needed to be recut. I was told they'd be done the next day around noon. Well, guess what?? Yep.. I called at 11:30 and was told now they won't be ready until "around" two. If, by the end of the day my glasses are still not done I will go and demand a refund.. Regardless, this is my first and LAST experience with LensCrafters. I should've read reviews before making this mistake.

LensCrafters review in Loganville, Georgia: Kids replacement glasses

We have been customers of LensCrafters -Snellville Location For years. We know everyone at the store and my son feels very comfortable with the Dr. My son broke his glasses again and we took him in to get the glasses replaced - Dec 2014. They told us the replacement insurance expired 9/2014. The entire family goes here and no mention of this expiring. No warning. Nothing. I can not believe they would not send a reminder or anything to let us know. I get letter after letter regarding getting my check up . As long as we have been going and no exception. They do not care about customer and we will no longer shop at this store ever again .

Glasses Review

Very disappointed at the inability of lenscrafter to deliver on the promis of customer satisfaction. I have purchased then upgraded and still can not use $500 glasses....I can not ever recommend this company. If LC is monitoring this social media I encourage a call. Stoe msnagets are bot able to silve the problem.

I too am very unhappy with Lenscrafters. I haven't even ordered my Verilux lenses for my frames I already bought because they want $1,400 and everyone else on-line is $499 - $540. The worst problem is that I picked up my contacts today and I can't see properly, everything is double. All the doctor states is "well they are exactly what you were wearing before" and when I questioned how that is possible his answer was "I don't have to explain things to you." I am appalled that a doctor feels he doesn't have to explain to a patient.

LensCrafters review in Merrillville, Indiana: Lens coating shrinking

Bought new glasses in myrtle beach in may 2013. Yesterday i noticed what looked like tiny scratches on the lens. At closer examination its actually the coating (either anti scratch or anti glare) thats shrinking. My wife and i were at a mall yesterday and i went to see what was going on. I was told that i micro scratched them by cleaning them and thats not covered so with my insurance discount it would cost $186 to replace them. Ive had at least ten pairs of glasses in my life and have never had this happen before. So its my fault the coating u put on shrank? Just emailed customer service and my local store is supposed to contact me. I hope they do ive tried the other stores and like lenscrafters best but withe the original cost and now less than two years later the added lens replacement cost i could have bought a new pair every six months elsewhere.

It's unreasonable for you to expect them to replace lenses that are 18 months old at no cost. Any warranty offered would be expired by this time anyway.

Coatings may fail for many reasons in this time period.

If it was a defect of coating, it would have manifested itself way sooner than 18 months. This seems like operator error.
