Hi Ya I just got new glasses and noticed what would be called water marked 5 of em, ie, small symbols on my $500 glasses IF they are marks from the maker why the *** are they so close to the focal point of the lens they are on inside by nose piece less than a cm from the focal point and a cm from edge by nose piece, like a water mark of course they are see through but how much ? is this is what is causing my headaches with these glasses I'm certain this is what's bothering me about them had them long enough to adjust. they are about the size of this text like a little o what the *** are they doing this crap for you wanta mark the lens burn it on the side NOT on the lens.

Make it policy to disclose these supposed "watermarks" let customers view a sample pair and let them decide if they can get "used" to it. Also, a public apology and a pair of lenses without this "watermark".

Um no you don't wash optical lenses with hot soapy water! What an ***.

You think you should apply HEAT to a coated lens? And put soap (chemicals) on it as well? Common sense. And why do you have "grit" on your glasses?

Gross.

You use the spray they sell that costs like $2. Why else would they sell it?

Frames Review

The hinge on my frames came apart after 11 months & I was told they couldn't be fixed. Also I was out of luck as far as lens rafters standing behind their frames. Very disappointed and will not recommend.

I agree with the people on this blog about Jen Ryan-Koenig. She is a truly an awful person to have in a management position.

Her friends from a previous employer are higher in the chain in Lenscrafters and put her in her position and protect her. I can attest that she does make decisions impacting her employees livelihood based on emotion and often does use her position to settle personal vendettas. I was a manager under her and witnessed this first hand. Recently all the Lenscrafters in Nevada closed their labs.

She was allowed to keep most of the lab workers offering them positions in an outsourced lab or a position on the sales floor, be it in their home store or another. She used this opportunity to get rid of at least four employees that had openly disagreed her and questioned her management style. Two of these employees had been with the company over 20 years!

She even made a snide subtle remark, chuckling about it on a conference call not to cross the boss.

LensCrafters - Don't Ever Give Them Your Phone Number

Went in and bought glasses about a year and a half ago, used a prescription from my own doctor. Now I can't stop getting phone calls first from the store and now from an 888 number about getting an eye exam, I've never used their doctors. Told the people at the store I had my own doctor. Had voice mails left on my cell phone from three different people (one of them claimed to be calling from the store I bought the glasses) spoke to two additional people about being removed from the list due to having my own doctor, and God they will say anything to get you to schedule with them. I've finally blocked the 888 number and I will never go back to Lenscrafters if they're going to harass their customers like this.

In 2012 they started "customer connection calls" to help bring customers back in even without having their doctors used. They have limited info on the person they are calling.

The corporate offices push a certain amount of calls per associate to keep up with their desired quota. In the program, which took awhile to get developed, it logs how long they were on the phone and whether a message was left or not to help reduce recalls.

It's a ridiculous "marketing strategy". All about the money and not about the customer anymore.

Employees Review

The employees in the Battlefield Mall store in Springfield, MO act like you are bothering them if you call them on the phone. When you go into the store several of the young employees are real rude and they act like smartelics.
