Lenscrafters complaint by Monicamo

I've only gone to an optometrist at a lenscrafters b/c i heard there was a really great doctor there. He recommended me to a top surgeon for lasik eye surgery. it's imperative that the day after the eye surgery, you go for a follow up appointment w/ your optometrist. so i scheduled my appt. w/ my lenscrafters doctor, and alerted the lenscrafter employee that this was a post-surgery follow up appt. she assured me the appt. was all set for me. the day after my surgery, i went to lenscrafters for my scheduled appt, only to find out that the people at lenscrafters made a mistake and my optometrist was not at that location that day. and they were not apologetic or seemed to care in the least. the lenscrafters employees didnt seem to care of the importance of this post-surgery appointment, or that my doctor wasn't there, or seem to care that they did not notify me of this ahead of time. it was the most unprofessional experience i've had, and will not be going back there, even though i loved that doctor. time to search for a real eye doctor in a real doctor's office.

You are so right. Only trust your eyes to an Ophthalmologist. An Ophthalmologist is a medical doctor with 12 years of medical school training.

Never ever go to an Optometrist who's office is in the same place that sells eye glasses. You are begging to be ripped off.

It cost's no more to go to an Ophthalmologist if you have health insurance. He will provide you the best examination of your eyes from a medical prospective and will provide a prescription for your eye glasses.
