Lenscrafters complaint by Robbysdad
I had just moved to Chicago from Colorado. I was having trouble with my current contacts and did not want to see a normal eye Dr. I called Lens Crafters in Bolingbrook Il. I had asked the price for a contact exam. I was told $90.00 which would include 1 Par of contacts. Half way through my exam I was told it would be $140.00. Then after my exam...I was told $283.00...These people are no better that a lawyer, a used car salesman, or a plumber. In my line of work I talk to people everyday. I will repeat this story everyday til I am satisfied....I hope it lasts forever.

I believe you believe that your exam would have been at the normal basic starting price. How often have you been quoted a starting price for car repairs, hair appointements, home repairs, etc. It's not a guaranteed price. It is a starting point.

HMMM sounds like you asked them the starting price and then took that as gospel. Your needs exceeded the basics and now because that was provided to you...your "mad" get over yourself and become more aware of your needs

you are the type of consumer who doesnt ask enough questions and when the prices do not add up get them to write it down for you. i work in a doctors office and when patients do not know thier current health it can change the outcome of a medical visit. the doctor may have to perform other exam procedures that are more costly.. most exams no matter where you go have a starting price and they go up from there.
